A modest and cosy contemporary home for single storey living.

Our clients showed us a particular place on the site with a beautiful southerly view. This became the place for the sofa with a floor to ceiling window framing the view beyond.

The accommodation brief asked us to create ground floor living with guest rooms above. This led us towards a house formed under two vaults. The upper vault contains the bedrooms off of a naturally lit gallery that floods the lower living spaces with natural light. The result is a sense of space greater than the cosy proportions suggest.
